A news report of 20 July 2025 describes a chess knight art object opened at the Shymbulak ski resort, with a children’s blitz tournament and an outdoor simultaneous display that day. The chess-results page of a round-robin tournament dated 3 August 2025 prints the place as Shymbulak, Kerey and Zhanibek Khans Street 640a, Edelweiss. Nothing later was found.
