Chess inside general and private schools 8

Many Almaty general and private schools run chess for their own pupils and give their names to city qualifying tournaments; whether outsiders may enter is rarely stated. Kemel Fizmat school played a Kemel Chess Cup for its fifth anniversary, Zaman International School has its Zaman Chess Cup, Zerdeli International School on Abisheva Street holds fourth-category qualifiers, and Prometheus School has held a tournament for first-graders.

Logic school runs a team Logic Cup and Logic Chess Cup events for age groups; two of its qualifiers are listed on the server under the White Rook school. The school of F. S. Khasanova hosts open tournaments on its own premises, and Zerdesh school appears with city qualifiers in 2025. In Talgar, Flagman school organises cups for the town’s private schools and qualifiers for its team championship. A family looking for an open section will find one under sections and academies.
